This condo, steps away from the ocean, will always hold a special place in my heart. My now husband surprised me with a getaway to Old Orchard Beach to this immaculate condo, and proposed to me at the beach below. Situated at the top of the Grand Victorian, it was wonderful to have my cup of coffee on the balcony and watch the sun rise. The condo was quiet, well furnished, and had everything that we needed during our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked and it was easy to navigate. I usually don't sleep well away from home, but with the ocean waves right out side the window and the comfortable bed, it was hard not to! I would highly recommend this condo and I am looking forward to staying there again this upcoming summer!

Three years ago I went online to find a place for our weekly vacation. I emailed the owner (Maggie) and booked our week. I was a little leery because when I looked at the photos of this condo I thought they were too good to be true. When I arrived at the condo and opened the door, I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. It had everything that you needed: pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster oven, washer and dryer, even a lobster pot for our lobster night. The only things that I needed were our groceries. The beds are so comfortable, Even though we have older children, they fight over getting the room with all the stuffed animals and TV!! We spend our evenings with family and friends on the spacious deck people watching and playing cards and on Thursday night watching the fireworks. We love that the beach is a 2-minute walk from the condo. The staff members who greet you when you first arrive are so friendly and will help you with whatever you need. We would highly recommend this condo....in fact we have already booked our vacation there for next year.

We are natives of the Deep South, having lived in Jackson, New Orleans, Nashville, and Atlanta before moving to the Washington DC area in 2007. We decided in our first summer in the DC area in 2008 that we were finally close enough to the New England area to drive up for a family vacation and cool off a little bit.


We discovered the Condo on the Coast and enjoyed ourselves so much in 2008 that we came back in 2009 and just recently reserved a stay for our 3rd straight season in 2010. I knew it had turned into a family tradition when my 6 and 9 year old sons starting asking around Easter to make sure we were going back to Maine this summer for our 3rd visit.


The condo itself is very well stocked and quite comfortable for our family of 4. It would certainly accommodate even larger families. The people watching on the balcony is a lot of fun, especially in the evenings. There is even live music on some evenings that you can enjoy right off the balcony. When you have had enough of that, you can come in and fall right asleep because the condo is well insulated and sound proofed. .


My boys learned to play their first board games in the Condo and look forward to a family game night each evening before bedtime with several games to choose from in one of the bedroom closets. We also went on a kid friendly fishing charter in our last visit with Rippin Lips Fishing Charters. I would highly recommend that if you have young children. We caught a nice sized Striper, pulled up lobster traps, drove by a lighthouse and saw seals out near an island in a 2 hour charter with just our family. We reaped the rewards of the lobster traps with a lobster feast that evening that we cooked in the lobster pot back at the condo.


We also love the beach right outside the condo. I could go on and on with more, but I think the fact that we are heading back for our 3rd straight summer should tell you that we are big fans of the Condo on the Coast. If you are going to Old Orchard Beach, this is the way to go.

I wanted to take a minute to respond about my/our experience with the condo that we rented last year in Old Orchard Beach. My family had the most amazing time and the condo was beyond our expectations. We had everything that we needed, the front desk was friendly and accommodating, the view spectacular, the location perfect, and the condo was clean and comfy. I grew up in Maine and spent a lot of time at OOB and in my many years I have never experienced a more beautiful place.


The pictures on the web do not even come close to capturing the condo’s charm. It was all of the small details that made the experience above and beyond. Maggie and her team took special care to include such things as top of the line cookware, comfortable bedding, good pillows, charming outside furniture (and plenty of it), and the books…the pictures, books, and décor put you in the mood to enjoy everything that Maine has to offer!


I especially liked the convenience of being able to sit outside on the balcony and see the children below at the arcade, getting a bite to eat, or on the rides. I could hear my daughter screaming on one of the rides…we were that close! The entire set up of the condo was PERFECT for what we needed and the entire experience was well beyond what we expected.


I have to give a special thanks to the whole team for being so gracious as to mail some items back to us that we had left behind. Again, just another example of going above and beyond.

Sorry it has taken me so long to write this. My girlfriends and I had such a great time at your condo. The minute they walked in they all fell in love with it. We had so much fun sitting around the table having our meals and just relaxing and playing games.

You might be getting a few calls to rent the condo in the future.....but I told them not during my next vacation :-)

"Best vacation in Maine Ever! June 2011", Suite 210

I rented this property for my husband and self and 2 daughters and their families. We had 2 toddlers and one 10 year old. This condo is as comfortable as home, safe as needed with children, and luxurious. This unit has the best of both sides of the beach, you can see the ocean and people watch everyone in the courtyard and at the amusement play area.

The weather the week we visited was perfect, we rented this condo because of the indoor heated pool, because our last trip to Maine in August of 2008 rained every day! But we were at the beach every day!

The unit is so user friendly, I walk with a cane and getting around was so great. Elevator close to the unit, beach really near and accessable. The fireworks spectacular. I even walked around the shops was never too far from the unit.

My daughters visited the hair and nail salon had a great time. The unit is not noisy even though activity is abundant, if you follow the rules close the balcony doors correctly you would never know there was anyone outside!

The Staff were very nice and helpful, beware check in day parking and unloading does get backed up. However you just park the car and everything is right there.

If you love to people watch, relax and not drive to everything it is great, Joseph's by the sea is pricey but nice treat for lobster, Nice Family restaurant past the square. Great souvenier shop near Pine Point. children's fishing lips day trip is great. Nice mini golf. Good grocery stores reasonable priced.

The unit is fully equipped with beach and household accessories, just bring your clothes and a lot of tanning lotion. Books and movies and toys galore are already there. All in all this mostly midwesterner Iowa family loved Old Orchard Beach! We will be back hopefully soon. Thanks maggie we had a super time!
